Local conversation processing
The browser extension reads the private ChatGPT conversation currently opened by the user and generates Markdown or PDF locally. Conversation text, exported files, images, and ChatGPT access tokens are not sent to ChatMark servers.
Account and device data
The website processes account profile data, authentication records, security sessions, subscription and entitlement metadata, support communications, and audit records. A linked extension stores a random device secret locally; the service stores only its SHA-256 hash, extension version, verification time, and entitlement state.
Extension trial data
The extension stores trial start and last-seen timestamps in Chrome Sync to provide one 72-hour PDF trial and reduce accidental resets across browser installations. Chrome Sync availability and retention are controlled by the browser and the user's browser account.
Payments, hosting, and email
Stripe processes payment details and returns customer, subscription, invoice, dispute, and checkout metadata. Cloudflare provides Workers hosting, D1 storage, security logging, and transactional email delivery. Google provides optional sign-in and, only after analytics consent, Google Analytics measurement. Spacemail receives messages sent to the support address.
Cookies and analytics
Essential cookies support authentication, security, and language preferences. Google Analytics is optional and is loaded only after the visitor accepts analytics. Consent can be changed by clearing or updating the browser preference.
Retention and rights
Account deletion removes associated application records, extension devices, grants, and sessions unless retention is legally required. Stripe retains payment records under its own legal obligations. Users may contact us to exercise rights available under applicable data-protection law.
